From the Center Director
Information technology has come to play an important role in various fields of society. In particular, in the field of artificial intelligence technology, particularly machine learning, practical technologies have been created one after another in recent years, and news about their application to real-world problems continues to abound. Against this current background, the Center for Advanced Information technology Research, attached to Aoyama Gakuin University College of Science and Engineering, was founded in 2018 to promote cutting-edge research and educational activities in information science, focusing on the four fields of Human Informatics, Sensing and Control, Modeling and Optimization, and Computational Intelligence, and to return the results of its research and human resources to society. By keeping up with the trends of the times, aiming for further technological innovation and meeting the growing demand for human resources to support such technology, we will continue to develop the infrastructure and systems to promote research projects, mainly through internal and external collaboration, in order to further enhance the presence of Aoyama Gakuin University’s technology.
